As a producer and owner of a film production company, Robin Benson has worked with an epic array of talented and creative people. The work was challenging and thrilling, always varied and she loved it. Then came her desire to create something more personal. Something handmade.  

Around this same time her sister gave Robin a ceramics course as a gift, and snap!, everything clicked.

In the clay, Robin quickly discovered she was drawn to shapes and objects inspired by nature, and she began hand building trees and creatures as well as vessels.

She then created a ceramic studio at her home in Los Angeles, using the towering trees on her property as both inspiration and a laboratory for her work.  Imagining a view from the tree tops, she was Inspired by a vision to be part of the wider world. Robin named her studio Bough House.
